KyTyPS5 emulator shows progress running PS5 titles on PC

The PS5 emulation scene is seeing rapid development with the KyTyPS5 emulator, which has achieved significant milestones in running high-profile titles on PC. Recent updates have shown the Demon's Souls Remake moving from approximately 2 FPS to between 10 and 18 FPS, representing a substantial performance jump in a single release.

In addition to Demon's Souls, the emulator has successfully reached actual gameplay for Astro Bot, running at roughly 11 FPS on mid-range hardware. Other titles, such as Grand Theft Auto V, have also been demonstrated running on the software. While visual rendering issues and low frame rates remain, the ability to move past character creation and into active gameplay marks a major step forward for the open-source project. The developers are focusing on compatibility and stability, primarily targeting the Windows platform.
