Kyungbo Pharm to receive 20 billion won loan for ADC manufacturing
Kyungbo Pharm, a subsidiary of Chong Kun Dang Group, has been selected to receive a 20 billion won low-interest loan from the National Growth Fund. The funding is designated to accelerate the company's expansion into the Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) business.
Kyungbo Pharm is currently constructing a specialized production facility in Asan, Chungnam, to support its ADC ambitions. The total investment for this project has increased to 96 billion won to accommodate expanded production capacity and design changes. The company aims to establish a ‘one-stop supply chain’ for ADC drugs, ranging from preclinical research to commercialization, with plans to begin full-scale production of clinical samples by the third quarter of 2027.
The National Growth Fund, a public-private partnership, recently approved a total of 1.6 trillion won in funding across seven sectors, including robotics, semiconductors, and biotechnology. This loan marks the fourth instance of the fund supporting the pharmaceutical and bio sector, following previous support for companies such as SK Bioscience and Ligachem Bio.
