Kyungbok University trains 58 aviation students through global field programs

Kyungbok University’s Department of Aviation Service has trained 58 students through its global field training program since 2016. The initiative provides students with four-month opportunities consisting of two months of language training and two months of practical field experience in countries including Australia, Canada, and the Philippines.

Specific partnerships include collaboration with James Cook University in Australia and the Systems Plus College Foundation (SPCF) in the Philippines. In the Philippines, students undergo language training followed by practical training in airport ground services to gain experience in international service environments.

The program aims to help students treat English as a functional tool for communication and work rather than just an academic subject. Department head Song Hee-young noted that the experience of communicating and solving problems in foreign environments helps students express themselves confidently during cabin crew recruitment interviews.
