KyungDong Navien launches ductless ventilation solution for older homes

KyungDong Navien has launched a ductless installation solution for its dehumidifying ventilation cleaners, targeting older apartments and houses that lack built-in ventilation ducts. The new system utilizes a window frame kit to facilitate air movement between indoor and outdoor environments, alongside an integrated diffuser that handles both air supply and exhaust.

This technology aims to address the approximately 7 million households in South Korea built before ventilation systems became mandatory for certain building sizes. Because the solution avoids extensive ceiling ductwork, installation can be completed in as little as half a day to a full day, even in occupied homes. The system maintains core functions such as air filtration, dehumidification, and air quality monitoring via smartphone apps and dedicated controllers.
