Kyushu and Okinawa regional newspapers to host online recruitment webinar

Eight regional newspapers from the Kyushu and Okinawa regions of Japan will host an online talk session on November 28, 2026. The webinar, titled ‘Kyushu/Okinawa Regional Newspaper Talk Session Vol. 2’, aims to provide prospective employees and students with authentic insights into working at a newspaper company.

Participants will learn about company profiles, specific job roles such as reporting and sales, and internship opportunities. The event is structured into a general talk session involving all eight companies, followed by individual breakout sessions for more detailed discussions. The session is free to attend but requires prior registration by November 25.

The participating companies include Saga Shimbun, Nagasaki Shimbun, Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun, Oita Godo Shimbun, Miyazaki Nichinichi Shimbun, Minami Nippon Shimbun, Okinawa Times, and Ryukyu Shimpo.
