Kyushu entities partner to build solar panel recycling platform

The Kyushu Electrical Safety Association, Greener Inc., and Kyushu Electric Power have signed a partnership agreement to establish a solar panel resource circulation information platform.

The initiative aims to address social challenges and create new business opportunities related to the recycling of solar panels. By utilizing Greener’s systems alongside maintenance and disposal data from the Kyushu Electric Group, the platform will work to predict the volume of waste panels and disposal demand.

This data-driven approach is intended to build an efficient reuse and recycling system to manage the expected large-scale disposal of solar panels in the future, contributing to carbon neutrality in the Kyushu region.
