Kyustendil hospital and municipality fund 13 new nurses

Thirteen new nurses will join the staff of MBAL ‘Dr. Nikola Vasilev’ in Kyustendil through a joint scholarship program between the hospital and the Kyustendil Municipality.

The program covers three years of training at the Medical University of Sofia, followed by a one-year internship at the Kyustendil hospital. In exchange for the financial support, which is split equally between the municipality and the hospital, the specialists are committed to working at the facility for five years after completing their internship.

Dimitar Stoilov, director of the hospital, emphasized that investing in personnel is a priority to ensure young people see professional prospects in their home city. Albena Veselinova, acting head nurse, also welcomed the new specialists, noting the dedication and responsibility required for the profession.
