Kızıltepe families end long-standing feud through peace mediation

A long-standing feud between two families in the Kızıltepe district of Mardin has concluded following a peace meal and mediation efforts. The reconciliation was attended by local community leaders, family elders, and guests.

As a symbolic gesture of their commitment to peace, the parties involved passed under the Holy Quran. Following this ceremony, family members shook hands and embraced to solidify the agreement.

Mustafa Çubuk, a businessman and community leader from Diyarbakır and a member of the Mendan tribe, participated in the process at the invitation of Hacı Ekrem Yücedağ. Çubuk emphasized the importance of resolving grievances to prevent them from escalating, stating, “Blood cannot be cleaned with blood,” and expressed a commitment to facilitating brotherhood and unity wherever possible.
