L. B. Arling’s sci-fi novel ‘Ve stínu Jupitera’ released by Epocha

The science fiction novel ‘Ve stínu Jupitera’ (In the Shadow of Jupiter) by L. B. Arling has been released as part of the ‘Jiné světy’ (Other Worlds) edition by the Epocha publishing house. The story follows the crew of the ship Michiel De Ruyter as they travel 600 million kilometers from Earth to investigate a mysterious signal from an anomaly that threatens the planet.

The narrative focuses on a crew member named Elizabeth, who may hold the key to understanding the signal and saving humanity. While the book is noted for its gripping pace in the second half and engaging plot twists, reviewers noted some technical density and occasional narrative chaos due to heavy use of scientific terminology.
