Lý Công Hậu elected Vice Chairman of Lai Châu Provincial People's Council

On 31 July, the Lai Châu Provincial People's Council (HĐND) held a special session at the provincial conference centre and elected Lý Công Hậu, the Party secretary of Bum Tở commune, as Vice Chairman for the 2026‑2031 term. He received a unanimous 49‑out of‑49 vote.

Lý Công Hậu, born in 1981 and of the Hani ethnic minority, holds a master’s degree in economic management and previously served as Deputy Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Committee’s Working Unit, and Party secretary and Chairman of the Bum Tở commune council. He pledged to uphold political integrity, foster democratic cooperation, and address constituents’ legitimate concerns during his tenure.
