Vietnam reports energy sector shifts and educational updates

Vietnam is seeing several developments across its public and private sectors. In the energy industry, PV GAS has announced a dividend payment of 2,500 VND per share, totaling approximately 6,032 billion VND. The company also underwent a leadership restructuring during its 2026-2031 term, electing Bùi Minh Tiến as Chairman and Dương Trí Hội as General Director. PV GAS aims to join Southeast Asia's top 30 companies by 2030 through international expansion and green energy investments.

In education, the Ministry of Education and Training has acknowledged responsibility for localized textbook shortages for the 2026-2027 school year. The shortage is attributed to the transition to a unified national textbook set and shifting student demographics. Meanwhile, Hà Tĩnh province is focusing on educational quality and infrastructure following recent administrative reorganizations.

Other notable events include the re-election of Professor Lê Hồng Lý as Chairman of the Vietnam Folklore Association and the deployment of 12 Vietnamese contestants to the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai. Additionally, Vietnam and Russia continue to strengthen scientific cooperation, particularly in nuclear energy and high technology.
