L. K. Advani discharged from hospital after chest infection
Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister L. K. Advani has been discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. The 98-year-old leader was admitted on October 16 due to a chest infection.
Hospital officials stated that Advani showed improvement in his medical status under the care of neurologist Dr. Vinit Suri. During his hospitalization, Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda visited to inquire about his health, and other political figures, including Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, expressed well-wishes for his recovery.
Advani is a prominent figure in Indian politics, having played a central role in the growth of the BJP and serving as the party's president on multiple occasions. This follows previous hospitalizations for age-related health complications earlier this year.
