Lê Thị Thúy Sen promotes financial literacy for children via comic books

National Assembly Delegate Lê Thị Thúy Sen hosted an educational event in Ho Chi Minh City on October 3 to promote financial literacy among children through her comic book series, “Khéo khôn với tiền - Tránh những ưu phiền” (Being Smart with Money - Avoiding Worries).

The book, which has sold over 35,000 copies and received honors at the 2025 National Book Awards, has been republished by Kim Đồng Publishing House in an updated two-volume format. The new edition includes additional stories regarding gold and taxation to address current interests.

During the talk show, Thúy Sen emphasized that teaching children about the value of labor, savings, insurance, and investment helps them build resilience. She specifically highlighted the importance of recognizing financial risks, such as online scams, identity theft by impersonating officials, and the dangers of “black credit” (predatory lending). The series aims to teach children to manage spending emotions and understand money as an accumulation of intellectual and manual labor.
