L2 Aviation and Gotonomi partner for UAV satellite connectivity

L2 Aviation and Gotonomi have announced a strategic partnership to develop integrated satellite connectivity solutions for uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operators in North America.

The collaboration aims to provide reliable connectivity in remote or connectivity-constrained environments where terrestrial communications like cellular or Wi-Fi are unavailable. The solutions will utilize Gotonomi’s lightweight satellite communications technology and leverage Viasat’s Velaris ecosystem.

L2 Aviation will provide engineering, installation, and certification support to integrate this technology into customer aircraft. The partnership is intended to support resilient connectivity for mission-critical data, telemetry, and command and control operations.
