L3Harris Technologies is shifting its strategic focus toward operational execution following a period of portfolio restructuring. Chief Financial Officer Ken Sharp stated that the company has reached its desired portfolio composition through various acquisitions and divestitures, and the new CEO will now prioritize managing existing business lines in space, intelligence, communications, and missiles.
A key growth area identified is the tactical radio franchise. The company is developing software-defined radios, such as the Falcon III and Falcon IV, which allow for waveform updates to counter threats like jamming without hardware changes. International demand remains a significant driver for these communications products.
Despite strong financial performance in the second quarter of 2026—reporting revenue of $5.12 billion, a 9.5% increase year-over-year—the company's stock has faced pressure. This volatility is partly attributed to an investigation by the law firm Pomerantz LLP into potential violations of capital market regulations, which has increased the risk profile for institutional investors.
