La Altagracia government pledges support for 2026-2027 school year

The Provincial Government of La Altagracia has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the local educational community following the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The provincial opening ceremony was led by Governor Daysi De Óleo, alongside Deputy Minister Frank De Óleo, District 12-01 Director Martha De León, and Vice Mayor Pablo Ávila.

The event took place at the Escuela de Niños Especiales Profesor Domingo Ortiz Vizcaíno. Local authorities emphasized that the start of the academic year is a collaborative effort involving the Dominican government, the Ministry of Education, and the School Infrastructure Directorate (DIE) to strengthen educational facilities and teaching conditions. The provincial government intends to provide ongoing accompaniment throughout the 2026-2027 period to ensure an organized and productive year for students.
