La Araucanía institutions host seminars on dialogue and coexistence

Educational and academic institutions in the La Araucanía region of Chile are hosting seminars focused on fostering dialogue, coexistence, and intercultural understanding.

In Villarrica, the Escuela Valentín Letelier organized the First Seminar on Educational Coexistence with support from the Universidad Católica de Temuco and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Campus Villarrica. The event brought together educators, students, parents, and academics to reflect on challenges regarding school well-being, respectful treatment, and dialogue within educational communities.

Additionally, the II Seminar of the Regional Chair for Dialogue was held at the Universidad Autónoma de Chile in Temuco. This initiative, which coordinates seven universities in the region, explored methods for building a culture of dialogue to address regional differences and transform conflicts. Presentations included perspectives on intercultural dialogue and the construction of collaborative communities through social work.
