La Atunara marina to expand capacity using BIM technology

The La Atunara marina in La Línea is undergoing a significant expansion and modernization project. The Public Port Agency of Andalusia has granted an administrative concession to the Club Náutico Linense Mar de Levante to develop the nautical sports facilities.

The project aims to initially increase capacity to 120 berths for vessels between 6 and 10 meters in length, with long-term goals to reach 250 moorings accommodating boats up to 18 meters. The expansion is self-financed by the nautical club through mooring rentals.

Notably, this is the first marina in Andalusia to be designed using Building Information Modelling (BIM). This collaborative digital methodology centralizes infrastructure data to assist in design, construction, maintenance, and future expansions.
