La Bañeza hosts ninth vespino motorbike gathering

The town of La Bañeza organized the ninth edition of its annual vespino motorbike concentration, drawing hundreds of classic two‑stroke scooters and enthusiasts from across Spain. The weekend featured a motor‑sport circuit ride, a memorial tribute to local rider Melchor del Río "Chorín", a communal dinner, and a Sunday route through city neighborhoods with an exhibition in the Plaza Mayor. A charitable element was included, with one euro from each registration donated to the Association of Family Members of Alzheimer Patients of La Bañeza.

The event aims to preserve the heritage of the vespino, a motorbike that has been part of several generations' memories, and to promote community solidarity through the fundraiser.
