La Baule to host first singles fair for people over 40

The first Singles Encounter Fair (Salon de la Rencontre Célibataire) will be held on Saturday, October 10, at the Les Cimes Bleues hotel in La Baule-Escoublac. Organized by Lili Karantez, founder of the Cœurs Solitaires network, the event is designed for individuals aged 40 and older.

Approximately 100 participants are expected to attend the day-long event, which features workshops, exchanges, and professional advice. Rather than using digital profiles or swiping, the fair emphasizes face-to-face conversation and human connection. Participants may also use short audio recordings to introduce themselves.

The event is supported by Agence Jade, a local matchmaking agency. In addition to the agency, five professionals specializing in coaching, emotional support, image consulting, and well-being will be present. Workshops will be organized by age groups—ranging from 40-50 to those over 70—to facilitate interaction and break the ice.
