La Bisbal del Penedès to host inaugural Concurs de Quarts Amunt

La Bisbal del Penedès will host the inaugural Concurs de Quarts Amunt on September 19. This new human tower (castells) competition is an initiative driven by the Domenys Ràdio program to provide a competitive and festive space for specific groups of castellers, specifically the high gamma of 6 and the basic gamma of 7.

The event aims to increase visibility for more modest groups and return to a social and friendly spirit. Eight groups will participate, selected based on rankings from the Tarragona and Torredembarra Castells Competitions. The competition is intended to be held biennially in even-numbered years.
