La Cage aux Folles musical to debut at Vempo Theatre in Greece

The award-winning musical ‘La Cage aux Folles’, based on the work by Jean Poiret, is returning to Greece in a major production at the Vempo Theatre. The production features Giorgos Valaris, a specialist in Greek musicals, providing a new adaptation and direction that aims to highlight the work’s socio-political essence.

Leading the cast are Giannis Stankoglou as Georges and Krateros Katsoulis as Albin. The musical, which has previously won six Tony Awards including Best Musical, is recognized globally for its exploration of identity, freedom, family, and the acceptance of diversity. The production is expected to be a highlight of the upcoming theatrical season.
