la Caixa Foundation to invest 76 million euros in Andalusia social action

The la Caixa Foundation and the Regional Government of Andalusia have signed a framework agreement to strengthen collaboration in social, scientific, educational, and cultural sectors. Under this agreement, the foundation will increase its investment in social action in Andalusia to 76 million euros in 2026, representing an 8 million euro increase from the previous year. The entity also plans to reach 78 million euros in 2027.

Isidro Fainé, president of the la Caixa Foundation, stated that the foundation focuses on long-term commitment to programs with transformative impact to address current global uncertainty. Juanma Moreno, president of the Junta de Andalucía, described the agreement as a vital example of public-private collaboration aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and addressing regional challenges such as elderly loneliness, child poverty, and employment access.
