La Casa de los Famosos México 2026 faces casting rumors and digital plagiarism dispute
The fourth edition of the reality show La Casa de los Famosos México is set to launch on Sunday 26 July at 8:30 p.m. on Las Estrellas and the streaming platform ViX. Producer Rosa María Noguerón says the season will be more intense than previous ones, with a cast that may include Sylvia Pasquel, Tammy Parra and other celebrities. Teaser clues on social media have sparked speculation that veteran telenovela actor Ernesto Laguardia could be the first participant.
A separate controversy erupted when influencer “HotSpanish” posted a sarcastic comment – “Qué idea tan innovadora” – on the show's official announcement of a public WhatsApp group, accusing the production of copying the digital strategy used in his own internet series La Mansión VIP. The remark revived earlier rumors of a possible legal clash between the two brands, though HotSpanish has denied any lawsuit. Fans have divided between defending the reality format’s use of common digital tools and demanding originality from the network.
