La Ceiba Bridge construction starts in Aguamilpa, Nayarit

Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro and Beatriz Estrada Martínez, president of the Nayarit DIF system, inaugurated the construction of the La Ceiba vehicular bridge in the mountain community of Aguamilpa, Bahía de Banderas municipality. The project, funded with 6.5 million pesos, is part of a broader investment package exceeding 66 million pesos aimed at improving connectivity during the rainy season, when floods often isolate families.

The new crossing will enhance safety and mobility for residents, producers and transporters. Navarro also announced a second bridge over the Galván stream, the arrival of field machinery within four weeks, a livestock weighing scale, and a guaranteed cattle price of 80 pesos per kilogram. Additional measures include upgrades to local schools, housing support, social equipment, drainage, a wastewater treatment plant, two public‑transport permits, and the deployment of an ambulance service in Aguamilpa within 15 days.
