La Ceiba police investigate suspects in quadruple homicide

In La Ceiba, Honduras, authorities are investigating two individuals captured following a police pursuit and shootout near the Reino de Suecia bridge. Investigators believe these suspects may be linked to the July murder of four cousins: Diego Jassir Canelas Solís, Dylan Mateo Canelas Solís, Kelvin Magdiel Canelas, and Daniel Enrique Antúnez Canelas.

The victims were kidnapped on July 17 and later found dead. Previous investigations identified “casas locas” (crazy houses) used for interrogation and torture. During the recent police operation, officers seized three firearms and a vehicle. Evidence has been presented to the Public Ministry to determine the suspects' direct involvement in the quadruple homicide.
