La Chaux-de-Fonds to host Panathlon Family Games in September

The Panathlon Family Games are scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 13, at the Parc des sports de la Charrière in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Organized by the Panathlon Club des Montagnes neuchâteloises in collaboration with local municipal services, the event aims to promote healthy sports practices and fair play among children.

President Yann Moulinier noted that the event serves as an exchange between the sporting community and the general population. The day will feature participation from approximately thirty sports clubs. In addition to athletic activities, the event will include health awareness initiatives, such as skin cancer prevention education provided by the Ligue contre le cancer, and demonstrations by firefighters and paramedics.

Due to ongoing renovations, the athletics track and central football field at the Parc des sports will remain closed until July 2027. Participation in the games is free, with registration available on-site from 9:00 to 17:00.
