Léa Cheveau launches companionship service in France
Léa Cheveau, a resident of Barville, has launched a new business called ‘Papotage et Compagnie’ to combat social isolation in the Nancy and Vosges regions of France. Inspired by a similar concept in Japan, the service offers companionship for various activities to help maintain social ties.
Cheveau provides services ranging from one to three hours, including conversations, walks, board games, music, cooking workshops, and manual crafts like knitting or embroidery. The initiative aims to address loneliness, particularly among elderly individuals in rural areas whose families may live far away.
