La Chirichota brings musical parody to Madrid

The Canary Islands-based comedy troupe La Chirichota is returning to Madrid with their musical parody show, ‘¡Vuelven los clásicos!’. The production features a musical-theatrical premise where classical composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Schubert, and Tchaikovsky are reimagined in the 21st century, reacting to the dominance of reggaeton and trap music.

Formed in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2022, the group consists of Víctor Lemes, Dani Rodríguez, Juan Dávila, Daniel Quevedo, Abraham Santacruz, and Isaac Dos Santos. The show uses irony, vocal harmonies, and social critique to explore contemporary customs and the evolution of the music industry.

The performances are scheduled for November 28 and 29 at the Teatro Capitol Gran Vía in Madrid.
