La Concorde closure leaves over 30 workers unemployed in Argentina

The closure of the dealership ‘La Concorde’ has resulted in the dismissal of more than 30 workers in the Argentine cities of Concordia and Chajarí. Displaced employees gathered in front of the company headquarters to demand clarity regarding their severance payments.

Workers reported receiving termination notices last Friday but stated they have received no communication from the company since then. Among those affected are long-term employees with over two decades of service. The group has involved representatives from the Union of Mechanics and Affiliates of the Automotive Transport (Smata) to seek answers regarding their compensation and the next steps in the process.
