La Costa launches initiatives to support cooperatives and local production

The Municipality of La Costa has launched several initiatives to strengthen the local economy and support regional organizations. A new ‘Punto Cooperativo’ (Cooperative Point) has been established in collaboration with the Provincial Institute of Associativism and Cooperativism (IPAC). This office allows local cooperatives to perform administrative tasks—such as book certification, signature verification, and requesting compliance certificates—without traveling to La Plata.

Additionally, the municipality introduced the ‘Enamorate de lo nuestro’ program. This initiative aims to promote local production by creating a local identity seal to distinguish district-made products. The program seeks to expand commercialization channels and diversify the local economy to create year-round employment opportunities beyond the traditional tourism sector.
