La Cruz municipality begins restoration of Poza Cristalina

The Municipality of La Cruz is working to restore Poza Cristalina, a historic recreational site in the Quillota province. Once a major social and cultural hub known for its natural pools, picnic areas, and musical performances, the site had previously suffered from deterioration and abandonment.

Under the administration of Mayor Filomena Navia Hevia, the municipality aims to transform the area into an urban park. The long-term vision includes the integration of green spaces, walking trails, and new recreational facilities to return the site to its role as a community landmark.

Recent progress includes technical and financial management to support the project, as well as coordination with various organizations. One significant recent development involved the planting of approximately one hundred native trees to enhance the natural environment.
