La Feria de Diseño Medellín 2026 to showcase regional design and architecture

The 13th edition of La Feria de Diseño Medellín is set to take place at Plaza Mayor from September 10 to 12, 2026. The event serves as a professional platform for architecture, interior design, and furniture, aiming to connect talent from Latin America and the Caribbean. The 2025 edition saw significant commercial activity, hosting 267 brands and over 21,000 professionals, resulting in approximately USD 14 million in business opportunities.

The 2026 exhibition is organized into six sectors: residential and commercial furniture, kitchens, architecture and interior design, lighting and technology, wellness and outdoors, and decoration and accessories.

In parallel, European design trends are shifting away from traditional white kitchen cabinetry. Following insights from EuroCucina 2026 in Milan, there is a growing preference for warmer, more tactile environments. Designers are increasingly utilizing natural wood—such as oak, ash, and walnut—alongside earth tones like beige, taupe, terracotta, and muted greens to create spaces that integrate more seamlessly with the rest of the home.
