La Feria de Diseño Medellín concludes with record participation and growth

The 13th edition of La Feria de Diseño Medellín has concluded, marking a significant expansion in both scale and international presence. Held at the Plaza Mayor convention center, the event drew 18,522 visitors to the venue, with a total reach of over 22,800 participants when including satellite activities throughout the city.

The fair featured more than 285 brands across four pavilions, covering sectors such as residential furniture, technical lighting, surfaces, outdoor equipment, and workspace solutions. While showcasing prominent Colombian brands like Verdi, MUMA, and Altek, the event also hosted 37 international exhibitors from countries including Spain, Brazil, and Italy, with notable participants such as Porcelanosa, Cosentino, Vondom, and Humanscale.

Economic impact was a key highlight, as the Business Matchmaking Round facilitated 496 meetings between 115 companies and 85 buyers. These interactions documented business intentions totaling approximately 81.9 billion COP (roughly 23.6 million EUR), representing a 41 percent increase compared to the previous year. Co-founder Eddy Karmona noted that the increased quality of displays and technical ambition reflects a maturing Colombian design industry.
