La Florida Mayor responds to murder of 16-year-old girl

Andres Diaz, the mayor of La Florida, has denied social media allegations that the municipal administration was indifferent following the murder of 16-year-old Erika Giselle. The mayor stated that the administration has been actively involved in the response to the tragedy.

According to the mayor, the Secretariat of Government activated an institutional care protocol on August 21 at 10:40 p.m. following a police inspection report. The local government has provided logistical support, including funeral services and viewing rooms for vulnerable families, and has convened an interdisciplinary team to manage the situation and support the victim's family.
