La France Insoumise accuses BFMTV of spreading racist rhetoric

Members of the La France Insoumise (LFI) political party, including Jean-Luc Mélenchon and deputy Louis Boyard, have accused the news channel BFMTV of allowing racist remarks to proliferate on its airwaves.

During a demonstration in Paris, Jean-Luc Mélenchon confronted a journalist from the network, telling the outlet to “calm down on all kinds of racist remarks.” Deputy Louis Boyard further criticized the channel for providing a platform to Eric Zemmour and for presenting an “unjust” image of working-class neighborhoods, arguing that such media coverage contributes to the dehumanization of residents.

BFMTV has responded to these allegations, describing them as “unfounded accusations.”
