La France insoumise unveils twelve legislative proposals for October 29
The La France insoumise (LFI) political group has unveiled twelve legislative proposals to be debated during their parliamentary initiative day on October 29 at the National Assembly. Led by Mathilde Panot, the group aims to address economic, social, and environmental issues.
A central pillar of the proposals focuses on purchasing power, including a plan to raise the Smic (minimum wage) to 1,700 euros net per month and the restoration of wage indexation to inflation. Other social measures include increasing the minimum old-age pension and the professionalization of AESH (special needs education assistants) by creating a new category of civil servants.
Environmental and economic sovereignty are also key themes. The group is proposing a ban on certain pesticides, specifically acetamiprid and flupyradifurone, citing risks to human health and the environment. Additionally, LFI intends to introduce stricter controls on foreign investments to protect companies from what they term ‘predatory funds.’ Other measures include the tax exemption of alimony received by custodial parents.
