La Francia, Argentina, hit by severe hailstorm

A severe hailstorm struck the town of La Francia in Córdoba, Argentina, on Sunday afternoon, lasting approximately 15 minutes. The storm produced hail stones comparable in size to tennis balls, causing significant damage during the Expo Dinámica event held at the Club Deportivo y Cultural.

The storm resulted in several injuries. The Hospital Municipal Dr. Carlos J. Rodríguez in Arroyito received six patients with mild to moderate injuries, while two individuals were transferred to the Regional Hospital of San Francisco due to head trauma. Medical teams have been reinforced to manage the emergency response.

Material damage includes broken vehicle windows, damaged roofs on sheds and dairy farms, and losses to local crops. The weather phenomenon was also reported in other Córdoba localities, including Sacanta, Calchín, Oncativo, Hernando, Berrotarán, Tío Pujio, and Santa Rosa de Calamuchita.
