LA Galaxy and LAFC clash in El Tráfico rivalry match in Los Angeles

Major League Soccer resumes in Los Angeles on Friday night as the LA Galaxy host crosstown rivals LAFC at Dignity Health Sports Park. The sell‑out derby, known as “El Tráfico,” pits the two Western Conference contenders just four points apart—LAFC with 24 points and the Galaxy with 20. Both clubs are looking to solidify playoff positions.

Coaches Greg Vanney (Galaxy) and Marc Dos Santos (LAFC) highlighted the match’s importance, with Vanney saying it’s “a hell of a way to get started” and Dos Santos noting, “If you have to choose a game to get started again, it’s this game.” South Korean forward Heung‑Min Son is expected in the LAFC starting lineup, joining Denis Bouanga in attack. The Galaxy enter the game missing Gabriel Pec, who transferred to Cruzeiro, and face injuries to João Klauss and other key players.

The game will be broadcast in the United States on FOX and FOX Deportes, with streaming available via FuboTV, Apple TV and other legal platforms. Fans are warned of heavy traffic on the city’s freeways during the match.
