La Gomera digital training program reaches 174 participants

The Cabildo de La Gomera has concluded its ‘La Gomera Aprende’ program, a digital skills training initiative that trained 174 residents across various municipalities and age groups. Funded by Next Generation EU, the project provided free training to help citizens gain autonomy in digital environments, such as managing public administration tasks, applying for subsidies, and using everyday digital tools.

President Casimiro Curbelo noted that the program addressed real local needs, highlighting that many participants completed multiple training sessions. The courses were designed to be practical and were held in accessible community locations, including neighborhood associations and school residences, to minimize travel requirements for participants.
