La Gomera hosts second ‘Moda y Magia’ fashion showcase

The Cabildo of La Gomera organized the second edition of the ‘La Gomera, Moda y Magia’ fashion show on 25 July in the Puerto de Vueltas, Valle Gran Rey. Around twenty local designers and brands displayed new collections on a 30‑metre runway, blending design, sustainability and tourism promotion.

Designer Beatriz Fernández Barahona presented her Alhaja Art Couture line of handcrafted jackets and ceremonial collars, created from high‑quality leather and embellished with pearls, shells and semi‑precious stones. Tourism, Commerce and Consumption Counselor María Isabel Méndez highlighted the event’s role in supporting island creators, fostering commercial links and showcasing the natural landscape as inspiration for fashion.
