La Gomera to host Skyrunning World Championship

The La Gomera Paradise Sky Race 2026, which serves as the Skyrunning World Championship, is scheduled to take place on September 19 and 20. The event is expected to attract more than 1,500 runners from all five continents.

The competition includes an Ultra (77 km) and a Marathon (43 km) on Saturday, followed by the Sky Race SWC (30 km) on Sunday. The municipality of Vallehermoso is sponsoring the event, which utilizes local trails to showcase the island's landscapes and promote active tourism.

Televisión Canaria will provide live coverage of the races for the first time. The broadcast will feature commentary from Nacho Feliciano, Jaime González, and Moana Lilly Kehres, with coverage spanning various locations including Vallehermoso, Roque Cano, and San Sebastián de La Gomera.
