La Guaira authorities execute sixth controlled demolition of high-risk structures

Authorities in La Guaira have carried out a controlled demolition of high-risk structures at the Arrecife residences in the Tanaguarena sector. This marks the sixth such intervention in the region.

The operation was coordinated by the Estado Mayor para la Contingencia y Emergencia Nacional under the ‘Plan Venezuela Renace 2026’. This initiative aims to address buildings damaged by seismic activity recorded on June 24. The demolitions are being conducted using technical protocols to prevent accidents and protect local residents.

These infrastructure issues have impacted local commercial activity and displaced families. The government has indicated that these actions are part of a broader plan to recover spaces and has announced agreements with national and international companies to restore critical energy and infrastructure sectors.
