La Guaira fishing sector secures 21 commercial agreements

During the first business roundtable for the fishing sector in La Guaira, titled ‘Venezuela Come Pescado de La Guaira’, 21 commercial agreements were finalized. These deals involve 25 CONPPA representatives from the eastern, central, and western axes of the region.

The agreements cover the sale of fresh, frozen, and processed fish, totaling approximately 103,320 kg per month. The event, held at the Seafood Caribbean LLC processing plant in Caraballeda, brought together over 80 fishers and 22 companies to establish permanent communication channels regarding species availability and volumes.

Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, stated that this coordination aims to increase the income of maritime workers while strengthening the capacity of processing plants for potential export.
