La Guaira reconstruction efforts initiated by Venezuelan Ombudsman

The Venezuelan Ombudsman's Office, led by Egleé González Lobato, is initiating efforts to reconstruct the La Guaira region following seismic events on June 24. To facilitate this, the office plans to establish a technical inter-institutional table and deploy exploratory brigades to assess damage and living conditions on the ground.

These brigades will specifically target parishes such as El Junko and Carayaca to verify the needs of residents and evaluate specific damages. The reconstruction strategy aims to incorporate specialized geological and territorial studies into urban reordering plans. Additionally, there is a push to prioritize local labor and the regional productive sector for both public and private works to ensure the protection of human rights and community stability.
