La Guajira officials petition Congress over electricity service failures

The Municipal Personería of Distracción, La Guajira, has presented concerns to the Congress of the Republic regarding deficiencies in electricity services provided by AIR-E. During a political control debate in the Fifth Constitutional Commission of the House of Representatives, municipal official José Jorge González Camargo highlighted constant supply fluctuations.

González Camargo emphasized the need for timely solutions to prevent community dissatisfaction from escalating into road blockades or other direct actions. He noted a lack of prompt responses to service difficulties, which has caused significant concern among local users. The Personería stated it will continue to defend collective rights and promote actions to ensure effective public service delivery.
