L.A. Guns releases cover of Deep Purple's “Space Truckin'”

The heavy metal band L.A. Guns has released a cover of the Deep Purple classic “Space Truckin'”. The track is part of Cleopatra’s upcoming tribute album, titled “Purple Storm – A Tribute To Deep Purple”.

Tracii Guns noted that Deep Purple has been one of the band’s biggest influences. He and vocalist Phil Lewis selected the song for its high-energy potential. The cover, produced by Adam Hamilton, runs just under five minutes, offering a condensed version of the original 1972 track from the album “Machine Head”.

“Purple Storm” will feature 11 Deep Purple classics, including “Highway Star”, “Smoke On The Water”, and “Child In Time”.
