La Horta agricultural region initiative launches meeting series

A series of meetings titled ‘L’Horta és nostra i la volem verda’ (The Horta is ours and we want it green) has launched across several municipalities in the Valencian Community. The initiative aims to discuss the future, protection, and economic viability of the Horta agricultural region.

The sessions, held between September and October, address critical challenges including the impacts of the DANA weather event, climate change, soil protection, agricultural profitability, flood risk prevention, and food sovereignty. The program brings together farmers, researchers, public administrations, and environmental entities to develop collective proposals for the territory.

The schedule includes sessions in Foios, Montcada, Paiporta, and Alzira, concluding with a final conference to consolidate findings and strategic proposals for the region's sustainability.
