La Laguna concludes ninth edition of Las Noches del Patrimonio
The city of La Laguna has concluded the ninth edition of ‘Las Noches del Patrimonio’ (Nights of Heritage). For the first time, the event was extended over two days, occurring on September 18 and 19.
In collaboration with the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain, the program functioned as a cultural laboratory for the historical sites of the Canary Islands. The event featured interpretive routes, the opening of buildings typically closed to the public, international performances, contemporary dance, and the ninth edition of ‘Escena Patrimonio’.
Mayor Luis Yeray Gutiérrez stated that the event demonstrates the city's ability to explain its legacy through creativity and social involvement, noting that heritage serves as a living resource that generates collective identity. Cultural Heritage Councilor Adolfo Cordobés emphasized the municipality's commitment to integrating research, dissemination, and accessibility within international conservation standards.
