La Laguna installs 30 new benches on Camino de las Peras

The municipality of La Laguna has installed 30 new cast iron urban benches along the Camino de las Peras, a popular outdoor recreation and sports route located near the city's UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Mayor Luis Yeray Gutiérrez stated that the area required rest zones that complement the natural environment and existing public facilities. The new benches are part of a broader initiative by the Department of Works, Infrastructure, and Accessibility, which has distributed 129 different modules throughout the central area.

To ensure universal accessibility and inclusion, the selected models feature backrests and armrests, allowing individuals with reduced mobility to sit and stand autonomously.
